Senior GIS Developer

Summary

The job is for a Senior GIS Developer at ICEYE, a global leader in SAR satellite operations. The role involves developing and maintaining Esri-based web applications and their integrations that support the delivery of Natural Catastrophe products to clients. The position can be based in Finland or any EU office remotely.

Requirements

• Proficient understanding and extensive experience on the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem including ArcGIS Online and the ArcGIS APIs and SDKs
• Experience in processing and delivering both vector and raster based products
• Solid skills in Python and experience in automating ArcGIS Online operations programmatically
• A DevOps mindset and an understanding of modern software development practices including continuous delivery, test driven development and Infrastructure-as-code
• Understanding of different OGC compliant software and standards (STAC, OGC APIs, WMS/WMTS)
• Effective communication skills with product managers, team members, and business stakeholders
• Experience working with GitHub, PostGIS and databases, including DB migrations as code
• Developing integrations in API and event-driven architectures

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Esri-based web applications and their integrations that support the delivery of Natural Catastrophe products to clients
• Collaborate effectively in agile cross-functional product teams with shared ownership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Docker & Terraform
• Equal experience with open source software counterparts like QGIS
• Knowledge of setting up a ArcGIS Enterprise instance
