Summary

Join Pleo as a Senior Global Payroll Specialist to lead and transform payroll processes across EMEA, ensuring compliance and efficiency. You will manage end-to-end payroll, lead a small team, and act as a subject matter expert for process improvements. The role requires extensive payroll knowledge in multiple EMEA locations, experience with global payroll providers, and strong analytical skills. Requirements

  • Excellent operational, legislative and best practice payroll knowledge of several EMEA locations (Sweden, Spain, Portugal and the UK desirable)
  • Experience working with global payroll providers
  • Internal and external payroll audit leadership skills
  • Experience of process design and documentation
  • Excellent excel skills
  • A proactive and analytical approach
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

  • Processing and managing the end-to-end payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Reconciling and reviewing payroll data, including tax calculations, benefits, and other deductions
  • Collaborating with People and finance teams to ensure seamless integration between payroll, People operations & finance processes
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations, ensuring compliance in all jurisdictions
  • Addressing all payroll related queries from employees & the business quickly and accurately
  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of employee payroll information
  • Collaborating with the external payroll provider and assisting in service level management and reporting
  • Staying informed about best practices and industry trends in payroll processing
  • Acting as the SME for all things payroll within project workstreams and as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Swedish language skills
  • Experience of driving and leading large-scale projects
  • Experience of SOX controls
  • Experience of equity processing
