  • Strong typography skills and understanding of layout principles
  • Ability to work effectively in both print and digital mediums
  • Experience with motion graphics and video editing is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to think and execute across multiple channels
  • Thorough understanding of the design process and how to apply creative briefs
  • Team player with an eagerness to collaborate and mentor junior designers
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present design concepts effectively

Responsibilities

  • Proceed from creative briefing to generating visual concepts, with guidance from the art director or creative director
  • Collaborate with copywriters and other team members to create designs that are innovative, effective, and on strategy
  • Develop sketches, mockups, or prototypes to visualize design concepts
  • Work with print production specialists to discuss paper, specs, and folds, and obtain estimates on printing to remain within budget prior to execution
  • Create layouts that are on strategy, visually engaging, clear, and require minimal updates
  • Ensure designs are optimized for various platforms, including digital and print
  • Review your own work to deliver error-free designs that contain all required elements, paying attention to typography, image placement, and overall flow to ensure the intended user experience
  • Complete work on time and on budget, meeting clients' expectations and upholding company standards
  • Maintain and evolve brand visual identities, including color palettes, typography, and overall design language
  • Preserve the brand integrity of each client
  • Contribute to the planning and art direction of photo and video shoots when needed
  • Build relationships of trust with key partners throughout the agency and resolve creative differences swiftly and cooperatively
