Senior Growth Engineer

Requirements

• Have 5+ years of professional software experience
• Be driven and motivated by growth engineering and experimentation as a practice
• Have generated and executed product experiments that drove significant scale in users and revenue, as part of a company that scaled from 10 → 100m+ active users
• Have driven technical tooling and process around experimentation
• Have an ownership mindset: be comfortable with both responsibility and accountability
• Be excited to get things done, in a fast-paced environment
• Be thoughtful about creating and maintaining a world-class engineering culture
• Work well in teams and enjoy collaborating with engineers, designers and product teams
• Enjoy working in a pair programming environment
• Be passionate about education and care about having impact on tens of millions of kids' lives with your work
• Live and work in the Americas timezones

Responsibilities

• Work across the stack to build features and launch experiments that unlock opportunities and drive growth
• Work on production code from day one in a pair programming environment
• Deploy often and move quickly
• Have your work used by millions of students, teachers, and parents around the world every day
• Help further develop our high-quality engineering culture, one that values rapid iteration, collaboration, and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Have used React and/or Node at scale
• Have worked with MongoDB or MySQL
• Have DevOps experience, especially on AWS

Benefits

• Salary ranges (United States): CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT states: $171,500 - $244,000 (USD)
• Salary ranges (United States): All other states in the US: $146,000 - $207,500 (USD)
