Senior Industry Consultant

Summary

Join MongoDB's growing Industry Solutions team as a domain and technical expert in Healthcare and/or Life Sciences. You will deliver thought leadership and practical direction on industry-specific data challenges, creating content (webinars, white papers, etc.) and engaging with clients. Your objective is to position MongoDB as an industry solution, understanding client needs for modernizing software and data. This role requires strong technical and communication skills, working closely with various internal teams and external clients. The position is remote/flexible, ideally based in Mexico City, with approximately 30% travel. MongoDB offers a supportive and enriching culture with various employee benefits.

Requirements

• 8+ years in the Healthcare or Life Sciences industry in multiple areas
• Experience solving problems with data, and implementing business solutions within software delivery teams - as an architect, data engineer, or developer
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to visualize and communicate complex information to all levels of an organization - both internally and externally
• Experience with scalable and highly available distributed systems
• Ability to discuss a broad range of data technologies (non linear list: RDBMS, document, key-value, unstructured, noSQL, JSON, XQuery/XML,...)
• Strong Spanish and English language skills

Responsibilities

• Translate technical concepts and patterns into business benefits for senior management and executives as well as enterprise architects and product owners
• Create training materials, slide decks, whitepapers, and blogs
• Partner with the sales team to ensure success in accounts, structure relationships and build templates to engage with various client communities
• Present MongoDB’s position at various events - either in person or digital
• Represent MongoDB in international organizations, in workgroups, committees, standardization bodies
• Align with the product management organization and communicate field requirements, changes you see in industry requirements to the product management leadership
• Demonstrate resilience and sound judgment in dealing with business challenges and guide more junior colleagues to a successful resolution pattern
• Proactively seek opportunities to enable other functions such as Sales, Pre-Sales or Marketing
• Maintain situational awareness and react appropriately in group settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or beyond
• Experience with definition of standards, working in forums, councils, steering committees
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles
• Experience with database programming and data models
• A MongoDB Certification
• Additional language skills in other languages (Conversational is appropriate)
