Requirements

  • Possess at least 5 years’ experience as a System Engineering with Windows and Linux infrastructure applications and Cloud Computing
  • Have previous experience developing and updating network/gateway solution designs
  • Demonstrate expertise in configuring and managing Juniper network devices, troubleshooting complex network issues, and implementing scalable network solutions
  • Be skilled in designing, deploying, and managing Palo Alto Networks security platforms
  • Possess strong customer focus and communication skills
  • Have the ability to develop and maintain productive internal and external relationships, partnerships and networks
  • Be a New Zealand Citizen with an active Secret Vetting (SV) Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and maintain systems software and firmware for assigned projects
  • Develop drivers for specialized software such as graphics and communications
  • Monitor performance for all corporate platforms
  • Improve the performance of operating systems and firmware
  • Maintain an automation-first mindset using tools like Ansible for daily server administration
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems, and applications programmers to complete projects according to customer requirements and schedules
  • Assist the sales team with pre-sales activities such as proposal preparation, systems demonstrations, and presentations
  • Provide advice to customers on systems software and related applications design and development
  • Remedy problems while offering technical consultation to users in line with the established support model

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have troubleshooting, problem-solving experience
  • Possess understanding of public cloud platforms and agile operations
  • Have knowledge of Government legislation and policy regarding information and protection of information
