Summary

Join DataGrail as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a strong DevOps focus to build products that prioritize user privacy. You will play a key role in transforming the privacy industry, scaling our infrastructure to support our growing platform. This position offers the opportunity to work on a best-in-class privacy platform and collaborate with other engineers to build a next-generation infrastructure. You will design, implement, and maintain highly available and secure cloud infrastructure, automating deployments and ensuring optimal performance. The role also involves collaboration with development teams, participation in on-call rotations, and mentoring peers.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise with AWS services (EC2, ECS, IAM, VPC, RDS, S3, etc.)
  • Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
  • Proven experience with monitoring, logging, and observability systems
  • Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure best practices
  • Experience with Postgres operations, migrations, and optimization
  • Experience with micro services and distributed systems architectures
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Infrastructure as Code
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, availability, and cost across environments
  • Participate in the on-call rotation by triaging incoming questions and tickets, and helping lead the resolution efforts for high severity or high priority issues
  • Ensure security and compliance , including IAM policies, encryption, and audit readiness
  • Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and incident response
  • Document systems and mentor peers , promoting knowledge sharing and engineering best practices
  • Lead maintenance and upgrades of infrastructure components, ensuring reliability, scalability and minimal downtime
