Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at ICEYE, a global leader in SAR satellite operations. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing scalable infrastructure and developer experience solutions using Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS. The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or related roles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or related roles
• Proven hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services, particularly within AWS
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes
• Hands-on experience on managing client-facing production environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication (English), collaboration and team-working skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with dev teams to ensure a fast, safe and secure path to production
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS
• Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for application deployment and orchestration
• Design and develop as a self-service consumable infrastructure and developer experience platform components
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, security, and cost

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD
• Knowledge of GitHub Actions usage and management
• Being familiar with service mesh solutions like Istio
• Knowledge of infrastructure code automation services as Atlantis, Terraform Cloud
