Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Summary

Join Numan's dynamic Engineering Platform team as a Senior Platform Engineer. You will design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure and platforms supporting business applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform resilience, efficiency, and security. Leverage your expertise in cloud platforms, containerization, and orchestration. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by mentoring junior engineers. This role requires strong experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and infrastructure as code. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Requirements

• Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Expertise in containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and best practices
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
• Experience with Cloudflare
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or similar
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and reliable platform solutions
• Collaborate with software developers, QA, and other teams to deliver high-quality products and services
• Optimise platform performance, stability, scalability and reliability
• Ensure security best practices and compliance across the platform
• Automate and improve development and release processes
• Maintain and optimise our cloud datastores (Postgres, Redis, PubSub)
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues and provide expert guidance
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to drive platform strategy and direction

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus or Loki
• Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Experience in a DevOps or Agile environment
