Summary
Join iRhythm as a Sr. IT Infrastructure and Systems Engineer for endpoints, a critical role within the Corporate IT team. You will be responsible for the design, build, and support of endpoint technologies, implementing secure and fault-tolerant solutions. This remote UK-based position requires collaboration with multiple teams, project execution, and mentoring junior team members. The role demands extensive experience in enterprise networks, servers, and cloud technologies, along with specific expertise in Microsoft and Apple systems. Working hours align with US Central Time.
Requirements
- Have a minimum HND in Computing/Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience
- Possess Certifications in O365, AWS & Windows
- Have experience working in a SOX regulated company
- Have experience operating in a 24/7 international company (US, APAC & EMEA) with compensated on call rotation
- Have extensive hands-on engineering experience with enterprise local and wide area networks, servers and storage systems
- Have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Server operating Systems & Active Directory
- Have architectural level knowledge of cloud compute and storage (AWS and Azure)
- Have expert level experience with: SCCM
- Have expert level experience with: Scripting
- Have expert level experience with: Patch deployment
- Have expert level experience with: JAMF Implementation & administration
- Have expert level experience with: Designing infrastructure and administration of Apple devices
- Have expert level experience with: Design, implementation and management of Microsoft Intune
- Have expert level experience with: Microsoft collaboration suite (Office 365 Mail, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Have solid experience with: ITIL
- Have solid experience with: Linux
- Have solid experience with: CrowdStrike & EDR technologies
- Have solid experience with: Routing and switching
- Have experience developing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
- Have experience interfacing with and managing vendors and managed service providers
- Have a service-oriented mindset with a focus on creating value for our internal customers and business partners
- Demonstrate strong self-management skills, be highly motivated, and excel in independent work
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form
- Have the discipline to document your work
- Have the ability to work with a project-oriented approach for deliverables
- Have a flexible work schedule as some work must be completed outside of business hours
- Be based in the UK
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the design, build and support of endpoint technologies
- Implement secure and fault-tolerant solutions
- Provide technical leadership, support and architectural direction across multiple teams and domains
- Serve as an internal escalation point
- Plan and execute projects across the infrastructure landscape
- Lead and participate in infrastructure and systems and application projects
- Migrate systems from on-premise to co-location sites to cloud
- Mentor junior team members
- Vendor management and interaction for hardware, software, and service troubleshooting and resolution
- Help define and execute the strategy for infrastructure and systems across the enterprise
- Develop solutions for international expansion
Preferred Qualifications
- Have Cisco Certification
- Have previous experience within healthcare, life-science, pharma or bio company
- Have experience with network and systems monitoring
