Senior Java Developer

Summary

Join Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions, a leading ICT employer in Hungary, as a senior colleague to contribute to the development of our German partner's existing workflow management software. This role involves working in an agile, international environment. You will be responsible for development and maintenance, designing and implementing new software features, providing support to colleagues, and mentoring junior and mid-level colleagues. The position requires experience with Java and Spring-based, containerized microservice applications, cloud knowledge, and excellent English skills. Remote work is possible within Hungary.

Requirements

• Experience with Java and Spring-based, containerized microservice applications
• Cloud knowledge (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Ability to write well-readable, maintainable, scalable, and efficient code (Domain Driven Design, Design patterns, Clean code principles, Enterprise Integration Patterns)
• High-level English language skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software (bug fixing, new features)
• Design and implement new software functionalities
• Provide professional assistance to application operators and support colleagues as needed (no on-call duty)
• Mentor junior and mid-level colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

• German language skills
• Experience with end-to-end testing systems
• Comfortable use of DevOps tools
• Familiarity with agile work methods
