Remote Senior Java Developer

Summary

Zoic Labs, an advanced visualization company, is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join their team on a project-based position with a duration of 2 months. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend solutions using Spring Boot 3.2 and Bamboo pipelines. The job requires a U.S. location and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Java development
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, and RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Bamboo or other CI/CD tools
• Strong understanding of Pojo objects and their usage
• Willingness to take a coding test if selected for an interview
• Basic SQL Database knowledge a plus
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to utilize time allotted efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly experienced in working as part of a development team
• Experienced in working with stakeholders, clients, etc. to assess needs, understand problems being faced, and create a plan to move forward towards a solution
• Strong desire to always be advancing skills in the field of web-application development

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Spring Boot 3.2
• Implement and optimize Bamboo pipelines for containerized applications
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Optimize application performance and scalability

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
• Experience utilizing Jira and Confluence for project tracking

Benefits

• This is a remote (work-from-home position)
• Candidates will need to be located in the U.S and able to successfully pass and obtain a DoD clearance
• Zoic does not cover relocation costs
• Pay Range: 50/hr – 60/hr DOE (The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position)
