Senior JavaScript Engineer

Summary

The job description is for a JavaScript Engineering role at Primer, a unified payment infrastructure company. Requirements

• Extensive experience working with React, TypeScript or Vanilla JS with an understanding of what is going on 'under the hood
• An understanding of testing and wider infrastructure
• A passion for building a fantastic internal 'Developer Experience' - i.e. writing clear documentation, automating testing etc
• Engineering for performance, optimisation and conversion
• Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate in a cross-functional team and work with leadership
• Curiosity and interest to learn!

Responsibilities

• Driving JavaScript Engineering forward at Primer, working closely with leadership on strategy and vision
• Building maintainable, performant, well-tested and resilient code
• Work with senior engineers to design and implement internal engineering processes
• Making decisions on technology and tooling, building for scale and reach
• Mentoring Junior engineers
• Innovate and bring ideas to the table
• Creating first-class documentation for both merchants and internal teams
• Working closely with a cross-functional team of front end engineers, back end engineers, mobile engineers, designers and product
