Join Xplor's technology team as a Mobile Automation Test Lead for a 90-day temporary role with the potential to become permanent. You will be responsible for establishing and implementing mobile automation best practices across the organization. Requirements
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or C#
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Software Quality assurance with at least 5+ years of experience in Mobile Automation
- Experience in mobile testing and setting up Mobile automation frameworks
- Experience with Automated Mobile test Framework and tools like Appium
- Design, implementation, and delivery of scalable, maintainable, configurable, and robust test automation frameworks
- Experience with emulator-based testing tools, simulators, and real devices
- Experience with BrowserStack or LambdaTest
- Experience with different Mobile Operating Systems (Android and iOS platforms)
- Understanding GitHub, Azure, or other Repos
- Sound understanding working in a CI/CD and DevOps environment
- Experience with mobile application testing, including functional and non-functional testing, UI testing, and compatibility testing
- Solid understanding testing web applications, REST APIβs (ideally using Postman)
- Mature understanding of the different types of testing that QA will engage in: Functional, Integration, Regression, User Acceptance, and Release Management
Responsibilities
- Establish and implement industry best practices for mobile automation throughout the entire organization
- Implement the TCOE Architect approved reusable automation framework for testing mobile applications
- Apply expertise related to estimating, designing, developing, and executing automated test procedures and cases based on requirements relevant to automated test planning and creation for Mobile Application
- Analyze and understand productβs environment, architecture, and interdependencies to determine and apply appropriate test methodologies and cases relative to applications being tested
- Build roadmaps for automation adoption and mentor teams in adopting it
- Ensure the scalability and maintainability of automated test suites including regular updates, refactoring, and optimization of test scripts to accommodate changes in mobile app and ensure consistency of tests
- Analyze any existing mobile automation practices & provide feedback for improvements
- Work closely with the delivery teams in helping them with the initial automation adoption & setting up the processes such as PR review, adopting TCOE defined coding practices, etc
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Prior experience of working in a Testing Centre of excellence or similar set up
- Excellent communication, collaboration, trust-building, listening, and negotiation skills
