Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Summary

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to build, deploy, and integrate machine learning/AI models into our backend systems. This role demands strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience with data science toolkits. You will work with Airflow, Python, Go, BigQuery SQL, Kubeflow Pipelines, VertexAI, and Terraform. Requirements

• Strong analytical and data science skills
• Ability to break down complex and ambiguous problems to smaller, more manageable sub-problems and iteratively deliver value to customers
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication of challenges and solutions
• Ownership of algorithms and performance, eagerness to fix and improve
• Drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
• Deep experience with data science toolkits like scikit-learn, Keras and Tensorflow, including Python, R, and SQL
• Experience working on advanced web applications, with preference given to those written in Go or similar languages
• Experience working with Terraform or other IaC frameworks
• Eagerness to learn from others and help others grow

Responsibilities

• Apply statistical techniques and machine learning to empower our product in the domain of health, wellness, and care navigation
• Build and deploy machine learning / artificial intelligence models to production, and integrate them into the League backend
• Work as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
• Work with product management and other stakeholders to find the best solution to the problem at hand, and then continue to iterate on it
• Balance technical complexity with delivering customer value in a timely fashion
• Work on any part of the stack - from infrastructure, to data, to backend, to frontend
• Compliance with Information Security Policies
• Compliance with League’s secure coding practice
• Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and procedures
• Notification of HR, Legal, Compliance & Security of any incidents, breaches or policy violations

• Experience working with Airflow, Python, and BigQuery SQL
• Experience with Kubeflow Pipelines on VertexAI
• Experience with Go
• Experience with Terraform
