As a Senior Machine Learning Researcher, you will collaborate with a talented international team to develop and improve live AI products used in orthodontics treatments. You will leverage data from hundreds of thousands of treatments to model anatomical variations and treatment predictions. We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate individual with expertise in dynamic multi-modal 3D modeling and deep learning.

Requirements

• Expertise in dynamic multi-modal 3D modeling: demonstrated proficiency in utilizing machine learning for 3D alignment, segmentation, and prediction, for example, in applications such as augmented reality, gaze/face tracking, and 3D object generation
• At least three years of work experience (apart from academic work) using ML for 3D geometry, including pose prediction, ML-based mesh, or point cloud processing
• Deep Learning Model Design and Validation: proven track record in designing, enhancing, and validating deep learning models, with a strong emphasis on deep learning applications in both 2D and 3D image processing
• Product Experience: a history of product development experience, including successful deployment of machine learning systems in live production environments, not limited to prototype development - not limited to research/academic experience
• Technical Skills: strong hands-on experience with Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Software Development Proficiency: extensive familiarity with software development workflows, including Git, GitHub, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Passion for Software Engineering: a commitment to software engineering principles, best practices, and the ability to contribute to clean and maintainable code
• Proactive Work Ethic: a proactive and self-driven approach to lead initiatives and help release ML solutions into production

Responsibilities

• Be part of the orthodontics product team and collaborate closely with our platform and other web and ML product teams
• Enable fast iterations, multimodality, and scalable ML solutions for existing and future products
• Own and extend our live AI products that support orthodontics treatments

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Machine Learning or related field
• Worked with material simulations (forces, stiffness, elasticity, deformation) and/or planning of dynamic systems
• Non-rigid object alignment
• Hands-on experience with the newest generative models
• Experience with medical imaging (panoramic x-ray, CBCT)
• Previous experience in a regulated field, preferably medical AI
