Join Wellhub, a corporate wellness platform, as a Sr. Manager Product Designer Web based remotely in Brazil. Oversee a team of web designers, ensuring high-quality designs aligned with company strategy. Set design priorities, delegate tasks, optimize design systems, and contribute to design tasks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience across web and mobile platforms. Build design processes, provide team supervision and development, and recruit new team members. Lead and mentor designers, participate in leadership discussions, and enhance the component library. Ensure Figma tasks are well-organized and facilitate syncs with other departments. Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Computer Science or related disciplines
- Advanced skills in Figma
- Expertise in User Experience best practices, Design and Accessibility guidelines Comprehensive understanding of design for web, mobile, and responsive interfaces
- Strong background in user-centered design and an understanding customer journey mapping
- Previous hands-on experience in design roles, with a proven track record of delivering impactful design solutions
- Experience with design systems: creating, maintaining, and optimizing them for consistency and efficiency across multiple platforms and teams
- Experience working with metrics, analytics, and user feedback, using data-driven insights to refine design solutions and measure success
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies for user insights
- Strong project management abilities to prioritize, organize, and delegate tasks within the design team effectively
- Fluent English is mandatory
Responsibilities
- Build design process, delivering high-quality product interfaces while also maintaining and evolving design systems to ensure scalability and consistency across platforms
- Provide direct supervision to the team, offering guidance and support for their performance and development while ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Build the team - recruit, hire, and train new team members to ensure the team is staffed to full capacity
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate the efforts of a team of designers by delegating tasks according to skill sets and project demands
- Participate in leadership discussions to interpret and apply business strategy to design efforts, optimizing designs across channels (web and mobile)
- Oversee and enhance the component library, particularly for scalability and mobile adaptability, collaborating with the team on component documentation
- Engage in strategic prioritization meetings to align design efforts with overall business goals
- Ensure tasks in Figma are well-organized and documented for development handoff
- Facilitate regular syncs with development and other departments to refine workflows, maintain alignment on goals, and support cross-departmental understanding of design assets
- Continuously refine and optimize design processes to improve delivery quality and team efficiency
- Directly participate in design delivery when needed
