Requirements
- 8+ years experience in security engineering and people management
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing security engineering teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of security architectures, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and modern development practices
- Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, including experience with threat modeling and incident response planning
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards such as GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally, effectively communicate complex technical concepts, and align security objectives with business goals
- A track record of implementing innovative security solutions and staying ahead of evolving threats
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Responsibilities
- Lead the Security Engineering team, providing mentorship, direction, and fostering a collaborative environment to drive performance and growth
- Design and implement robust security architectures, processes, and tools to protect Life360βs systems, applications, and data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and IT, to integrate security best practices into development lifecycles and operational workflows
- Develop and execute security strategies and roadmaps aligned with business goals and evolving threats
- Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, conducting risk assessments, and managing incident response plans to address security events
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
