Summary
Join M-KOPA's Technology Leadership Team and contribute to expanding financial inclusion across Africa. Your strategic leadership will directly impact millions by unlocking technology solutions for those excluded from traditional financial services. You will lead initiatives to scale the platform, launch into new countries, and empower communities with access to digital financial services. You will partner with the CTO to execute technology strategy, lead OKR setting, and drive technology operations. This is a fully remote role within a specific time zone.
Requirements
- Strong financial operations expertise - budgeting, vendor management, and cost optimisation in technology environments
- FinTech or technology operations experience with proven track record delivering operational improvements
- Distributed team leadership experience with agile development practices and cross-functional stakeholder management
- Startup/scale-up background with ability to build processes from scratch in fast-paced environments
- Exceptional communication skills and bias for action with ability to operate autonomously with senior engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Partner with our CTO to execute technology strategy through exceptional budgeting, vendor management, and resource planning
- Lead OKR setting, strategic planning, and performance measurement across distributed engineering teams
- Drive technology operations including procurement, contract optimisation, and financial governance
- Oversee project management for strategic initiatives including country launches and platform scaling
- Build frameworks for team development, recruitment strategy, and organisational growth across technology teams
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management with engineering leadership
- Establish data-driven processes and optimise resource allocation for maximum impact
