Summary

Join M3's Medical Writing team as a creative and enthusiastic writer, contributing to content creation for Doctors.net.uk and other media. You will write, edit, and proofread high-quality, regulatory-compliant content for various clients. Responsibilities include planning campaigns, improving processes, and collaborating with internal and external teams. The ideal candidate possesses a life sciences degree or equivalent experience, at least 3 years of commercial/digital writing experience, and a strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory codes. The role offers potential for travel to medical conferences.

Requirements

  • A degree, preferably a PhD, in life sciences, or equivalent experience in the medical, pharmaceutical or MedComms industries
  • At least 3 years’ experience of commercial and/or digital writing (Med Comms, creative agency, education agency, pharma)
  • Ability to write clear and concise, scientifically accurate copy, with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of working across a wide range of therapy areas
  • Ability to understand concepts quickly
  • A firm understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory codes of practice
  • Confident in dealing with healthcare professionals and clients
  • Able to develop and maintain strong professional relationships
  • A clear concise communicator at all levels who develops trust easily, both internally and externally to the organisation
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to get involved and show initiative to improve and make internal processes more efficient
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and listening skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships critical to the success of this role
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely throughout the organisation

Responsibilities

  • Writing, editing, proofreading and quality checking content
  • Ensuring content produced is of the highest quality and is compliant to regulatory codes
  • Planning campaigns with the wider team
  • Establishing and maintaining processes to constantly improve efficiency and quality
  • Ability to provide strategic and/or tactical input for client campaigns where required
  • Attending client meetings to plan, scope and discuss campaigns (NB. day-to-day client relationships are managed by the Account Management team)
  • Working with Business Directors on proposals and pitches
  • Liaising with KOLs in relation to content development
  • Working closely with the Design, Programme Management and Client Partnership teams
  • Potential for travel to attend international and national medical conferences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of working on promotional post-launch drug campaigns would be preferable
  • An interest (and preferably experience) in line management
