Senior Motion Designer

Summary

Join Kraken, a fully remote company with a global team, as a Motion Designer. You will collaborate with various teams to create engaging motion assets for Kraken's products and campaigns. This role requires a strong portfolio showcasing motion design skills, expertise in After Effects and Adobe CC, and excellent communication abilities. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and animating motion projects, ensuring consistency with Kraken's brand language. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling and has a strong understanding of graphic design fundamentals. Requirements

• A strong portfolio showcasing motion design, art direction, and strategic creative execution
• Solid graphic design fundamentals — mastery of typography, layout, color, and composition
• Expertise in After Effects and Adobe CC, with comfort in Figma and generative AI tools
• Ability to conceptualize, direct, and execute motion projects that tell a compelling story
• Self-sufficient and collaborative — comfortable working solo or under direction from creative leads
• Clear, proactive communicator with experience sharing ideas and aligning with stakeholders
• Motivated by fast-paced, evolving creative challenges — with a passion (or curiosity) for crypto and emerging tech

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and Brand Design teammates to concept, design, and animate motion assets that elevate Kraken’s story
• Develop and evolve Kraken’s motion design language for consistency across products, campaigns, and brand touchpoints
• Execute polished, high-quality animations from ideation through final delivery, owning your work end-to-end
• Participate in design reviews, giving and receiving thoughtful, constructive feedback
• Contribute to a strong, inclusive, and creatively ambitious design team culture
• Explore emerging motion techniques and tools to keep our work bold and future-facing
• Partner closely with marketing, product, and design teams to deliver cohesive cross-functional creative

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D modelling and animation in Cinema 4D
• Experience guiding DIY shoots of product demos
• Experience with interactive motion design tools like Rive and Lottie
• Experience with sound design
