Summary

Job Description: This is a remote permanent Senior .Net Developer position for those based in Canada at NearForm, a company specializing in digital product development. The role involves designing and building cloud-based applications using user and server-side technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem, with a focus on delivering high-quality output to enterprise clients within specific timeframes.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience delivering at a Senior Developer level in an agile and enterprise environment
  • Deep understanding of server-side code, with 5+ years of experience working with C#/.Net (ideally with some experience with .NET 8)
  • Strong experience with LINQ (Language Integrated Query) and Entity Framework Core
  • Experience with Azure Cloud and working with cloud service resources such as App Hosts, Queues, Functions/Lambdas, and Telemetry
  • Experience with document storage systems, ideally with Blob and/or Redis
  • Experience with Docker containers
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, either Server or Azure SQL Server
  • Deep understanding of modern testing methodologies, tools and practices
  • Deep understanding of versioning control tools including Git and Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with microservice architecture patterns

Responsibilities

  • Designing & building cloud-based applications using user and server-side technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem, including .Net and C#
  • Supporting system design, development and maintenance and take responsibility for technical quality standards within the project
  • Assisting with defining structured practices, especially in source code management, building and deployment
  • Designing and implementing data storage solutions
  • Implementing security and data protection
  • Executing meticulous automated tests in line with best practice
  • Troubleshooting and debugging applications
  • Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Working with and supporting Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working as a consultant
  • Higher level experience working with provisioning pipelines
