Senior Platform Engineer

Summary

Join Form3, a company transforming the world of payments, as a Senior Platform Engineer (Networking). You will build and operate complex networks in cloud and data centers, design scalable connectivity solutions, troubleshoot network issues, and architect resilient infrastructures. You will leverage expertise with Juniper networking devices in critical production environments, ensuring a fast, secure, and reliable multi-cloud, global payment platform. The role requires deep understanding of software-defined and traditional networking, expertise in architecting scalable networks, and strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 protocols. You will work with a team managing hybrid cloud and private network infrastructures across AWS, GCP, Azure, and global data centers. This is a remote-first position with opportunities for candidates in Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, and the UK.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of software-defined and traditional networking
• Expertise in architecting scalable and resilient networks across cloud and on-premises environments
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 protocols, VPNs, routing, and switching
• Proven experience managing Juniper networking equipment in critical environments
• Hands-on experience with Equinix Fabric, Edge, and other offerings
• Proficiency with packet capture tools like tcpdump and Wireshark
• Excellent communication skills — we collaborate extensively at Form3

Responsibilities

• Manage hybrid cloud and private network infrastructures across AWS, GCP, Azure, and multiple global data centers
• Provide the backbone that product engineering teams build on, ensuring performance, scalability, and operational excellence
• You'll dive deep into packet captures, troubleshoot complex network issues, and architect resilient, cutting-edge network infrastructures
• Your work will be instrumental in ensuring our multi-cloud, global payment platform remains fast, secure, and reliable
• You'll join a team that’s hands-on with networking and compute infrastructure and is always looking to push the boundaries of what’s possible
• As a Senior Platform Engineer focused on networking, you'll help us elevate our capabilities to the next level

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices (scripting skills or a software engineering background is a big plus)
