Senior Platform/Infrastructure Engineer

Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Platform/Infrastructure Engineer to scale our microservices infrastructure securely and cost-effectively. We're seeking a highly experienced engineer with a strong background in backend software engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, and security.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior-level infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or security role
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (GCP preferred, but AWS and Azure is fine), tuning and scaling microservices infrastructure, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Expertise in automation tools (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPN, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, etc.)
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and infrastructure-as-code
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure for our microservices architecture
• Implement best practices for cloud infrastructure management, including automation, monitoring, and cost optimization
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of services
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect our systems and data
• Monitor system performance and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues
• Lead incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication
• Develop API integrations with external systems
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning
