Senior Power BI Developer & Analytics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI and Database Specialist with extensive experience in SQL, Power BI, and business intelligence solution development. The ideal candidate will create impactful dashboards driving strategic decision-making. You will perform end-to-end implementation of Power BI projects, build and maintain dashboards for clients and internal use, and troubleshoot UX/UI problems. You will also work with embedded applications and APIs, design complex stored procedures, and conduct ad-hoc data analysis. This role requires strong SQL Server Database knowledge and experience with Power BI and data modeling. A portfolio of dashboard work and a proof-of-concept dashboard are required for the interview process.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Experience working with MS-SQL Server and PowerBI
• Definitely Required - Strong SQL Server Database knowledge and experience writing and debugging queries, and Writing complex Stored Procedures
• Database management
• Knowledge and experience related to database performance issues and ability to provide solutions
• Microsoft's Power BI and Power Pivot
• DAX query language
• Power BI to build business intelligence dashboards and interfaces for client use and internal use
• Advanced Data Modeling skills
• Critical thinking to solve complex user feedback requests
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Visually display insights in a clear, concise, and actionable manner with representations for decision-making and a very high attention to detail
• Perform end-to-end implementation of Power BI projects for developing a portfolio of scorecards, KPIs, reports & dashboards
• Build, design, and maintain dashboards for our clients that address market needs and a wide range of use cases, including custom dashboards
• Build, design, and maintain internal BI dashboards that provide key insights and monitoring for different parts of the business and ultimately help drive efficiency and business planning
• Identify and troubleshoot UX/UI problems (e.g., responsiveness, performance, design, flows); conduct design adjustments to improve user experience and outcomes while using the dashboards
• Fast learner. Understand our users' business processes and translate them into data visualizations that can improve both operational and executive decision-making
• Work with embedded applications (PowerBI embedded for web applications)
• Implement Power BI REST APIs, Power BI Client Library APIs and object models for Client APIs including TypeScript or JavaScript and JSON schemas, and Power BI Report Authoring library extension
• Design of complex Stored Procedures, User Defined Function based on dashboard requirements
• Ad-hoc data analysis projects and/or SQL queries (extracting data from our tech stack exports and analyzing for insights)
• Manage data security by routine QA testing and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of Azure cloud environment (ADF, ADLS, Analysis Services, and Azure SQL) is a Plus
• Investment management/ Fintech industry experience a plus
