Summary

Join the Santévet Group, a leader in animal health insurance, as a Senior Pricing Actuary in their Lyon office. This permanent, full-time position offers a hybrid work model (2-3 days remote). You will develop and refine pricing models using data science and AI, analyze portfolio performance, and collaborate with various teams. The role requires significant experience in insurance pricing, actuarial science, and statistical modeling. Requirements

  • Have at least 5-7 years of experience in insurance pricing (ideally in personal lines insurance such as pet, auto, or home insurance)
  • Have a background in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Expertise in GLM and other statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
  • Experience with pricing tools: Akur8, Emblem, Earnix, or similar
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and Excel for data analysis and modeling
  • Excellent level of English (C1 level or TOIEC score of 945)

Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced pricing models using data science and AI techniques, considering business dynamics and market competitiveness
  • Design and refine pricing and demand models, combining actuarial techniques and machine learning
  • Develop models to analyse price elasticity, churn, and customer segmentation
  • Monitor portfolio performance and recommend pricing adjustments based on a deep understanding of customer behavior and market dynamics
  • Work closely with business and tech teams to align pricing strategies with company objectives
  • Develop pricing strategies with insurers and ensure alignment on pricing decisions through data-driven analysis
  • Ensure robust model validation and continuous improvement
  • Clearly and effectively communicate complex insights to non-technical decision-makers
  • Be proactive and bring innovative pricing ideas, leveraging new data sources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Snowflake) and version control tools (Git)
  • Excellent understanding of the insurance business and its strategic levers
  • Proactivity and autonomy in identifying and implementing improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Excellent communication skills to influence strategic decisions
