Senior Principal Software Engineer, Remote - United States

Summary

OneTrust is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their agile Product Engineering team. The role involves developing new features, collaborating with UX, Product Managers, and other developers, conducting code reviews, leading teams, and growing technical skills within the team. The candidate should have extensive experience in Java-based development projects, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical or business field
• 12 + years of hands-on experience with Java based development projects using RESTful APIs, SpringBoot , Micro services
• Extensive experience in building distributed and parallel data processing platforms
• Ability to work with architecture and Engineering leads to create architectural models and technical design documentation
• Design and build high-performance systems
• Familiarity with public cloud providers such as (Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS)
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, asynchronous architectures, and distributed algorithms
• Experience using different storage technologies such as MongoDB, Cassandra , Cosmos
• Experience with elastic search and data streaming tools like Kafka

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and ecosystem tools such as Helm, Istio, and Prometheus is highly desirable
