Summary
Join Axon's Privacy team as a technical lead and build software to support Axon's privacy mission. You will be involved in architecture decisions, work with the latest privacy-enhancing technologies, and make crucial technical decisions. Collaborate with product managers and designers, mentor other engineers, and leverage your system design skills to create innovative solutions. Work remotely from various US R&D hubs, offering flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate in person. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 6+ years of software development experience, and expertise in cloud-based systems and specific technologies. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems on Azure, AWS, or other public cloud infrastructure
- Experience with at least two of the areas below: Experience integrating 3rd party solutions to internal systems and services
- Experience with system to system communication implementation, high-scale microservices, Kubernetes, service orchestration/inter-service authentication, CI/CD pipelines setup and tune up
- Design, implement, and tune robust APIs and API framework related features that perform and scale in a multi-tenant envionment
- Backend service experience in multiple, managed languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C#, Python, or similar language
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores
- Experience building data pipelines, especially for privacy process and workflows
- Experience with implementing data anonymization/de-identification tools
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain back-end systems and services that power privacy and data compliance across Axon ecosystem, such as tools that enable other teams to automate tasks involving managing and protecting customer data
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
- Mentor engineers
- Work with the latest open source technologies
