Summary

Join Axon's Privacy team as a technical lead and build software to support Axon's privacy mission. You will be involved in architecture decisions, work with cutting-edge privacy technologies, and make crucial technical choices for a high-availability system. Collaborate with product managers and designers, mentor other engineers, and leverage your system design skills to solve customer problems. Work remotely from various US R&D hubs, offering flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate in person. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 6+ years of software development experience, and expertise in cloud-based systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems on Azure, AWS, or other public cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with at least two of the areas below: Experience integrating 3rd party solutions to internal systems and services
  • Experience with system to system communication implementation, high-scale microservices, Kubernetes, service orchestration/inter-service authentication, CI/CD pipelines setup and tune up
  • Design, implement, and tune robust APIs and API framework related features that perform and scale in a multi-tenant envionment
  • Backend service experience in multiple, managed languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C#, Python, or similar language
  • Experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores
  • Experience building data pipelines, especially for privacy process and workflows
  • Experience with implementing data anonymization/de-identification tools

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain back-end systems and services that power privacy and data compliance across Axon ecosystem, such as tools that enable other teams to automate tasks involving managing and protecting customer data
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
  • Mentor engineers
  • Work with the latest open source technologies
