Senior Product Designer

Summary

Join Overclock Labs as a Sr. Product Designer and contribute to the design of the user experience and interfaces for Akash Network, the world's first open-source and decentralized marketplace for cloud compute. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, focusing on UX and design for various consoles and interfaces, including the Akash Deployment Console, Provider Console, and Command-Line-Interface. The role involves designing web and documentation assets, such as the GPU pricing page and stats page. While fully remote, preference is given to candidates located in North America or willing to work during North American hours. The position requires extensive experience in product design, particularly with B2B SaaS products of a deeply technical nature, and a strong understanding of cloud services and related technologies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design work experience
• 5+ years of product design experience with B2B SaaS products that are of deeply technical nature
• Expert level knowledge of common design patterns, tools and frameworks
• Expert level knowledge of common UX research patterns and techniques
• Intermediate understanding of user personas within cloud practitioner, web developer and DevOps engineers
• Intermediate understanding of Product-Led-Growth (PLG) strategies as they relate to product design
• Experience using Github
• Working understanding of cloud services like AWS, GCP and Azure
• Working understanding of the differences between IaaS and PaaS services as well general workflows of each
• Familiarity with CI/ CD workflows, monitoring and observability
• Willingness to work “in the open” (Akash Network is “radically open source”)
• Ability and willingness to play around with new developer tools as a way of building knowledge and inspiration for designs

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the product and engineering teams to design the user experience and interfaces that will be used by our customers and partners
• Work on UX and design for Akash Deployment Console (UI), Provider Console (UI) and Command-Line-Interface design (CLI)
• Contribute to design of some web and documentation assets that connect to the products - like the GPU pricing page, the stats page, API pages and more

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or recent experience as a designer at a cloud infrastructure, cloud services or PaaS company
• High level understanding of how web services and applications work
• Familiarity with micro services and container based applications
