Requirements
- At least two years of professional experience as a Product Owner in a software development environment
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with software development for embedded systems
- Strong background in working with hardware and embedded software
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Ability to quickly understand business needs, product details, and the specific requirements of the device platform
- Proven ability to engage directly with users and customers, demonstrating a methodical and resourceful approach
- Expert knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Practical communication skills can convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Highly motivated, driven to achieve challenging goals, and committed to the organization's mission and values
- Personable, optimistic, and patient, with a collaborative spirit and readiness to engage in constructive discussions
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between the device platform team and the rest of the engineering organization, ensuring clear communication and alignment on product vision and execution
- Own and manage the product backlog, prioritize tasks effectively, and guide the team in understanding the business's needs
- Develop detailed, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure that developments align with defined requirements and business goals
- Support customers using our devices, helping them maximize the value of our devices and platform in their operations
- Engage in regular backlog grooming sessions and collaborate closely with SI&T and Cloud Platform teams to refine and iterate on product developments, ensuring readiness for implementation
- Work closely with system architects, designers, and engineers to develop and refine product specifications and requirements
- Validate that product changes and features meet all acceptance criteria, ensuring a seamless and practical user experience
- Make informed product decisions based on validated metrics and user feedback
- Translate technical and non-technical customer requirements from Product Management into actionable plans for the development team
- Utilize tools like Jira to monitor progress and report on product development status
- Advocate for best practices in Agile and Scrum methodologies within the team, helping to guide and mentor team members in these processes
Benefits
This position has a compensation range from $83,000 to $145,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
