Requirements

  • Strong background in government policyβ€” at least 8 years of experience
  • Previous experience working in the financial sector or tech industry
  • Passionate about Crypto
  • Highly responsible, organized and disciplined
  • Experience working with government officials, industry partners, and civil society organizations
  • Deep understanding of the global financial system
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to handle private, sensitive, confidential information appropriately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively synthesize, visualize and communicate your ideas to others in English
  • Based in Mexico City
  • Availability to work full time
  • English language proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Work with Policy managers to develop public policy agendas and strategies for advancing Bitso’s interests
  • Strengthen relationships with local, state, and national lawmakers in order to influence policy making
  • Present the policy positions and opinions of the organization to the public, government officials, and other organizations
  • Analyze and take strategic decisions on how to approach the regulatory landscape in Mexico
  • Work closely with the Corporate Affairs team to help them advocate our policy positions in executive, regulatory, and legislative settings
  • Monitor and analyze policy issues and developments of importance to Bitso and provide strategic advice to senior company executives on these matters
  • Research, analyze, and craft policies that align with Bitso's goals and values while ensuring these policies adhere to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Create and strengthen relationships with governmental agencies, policymakers, regulators, and external stakeholders

Postgraduate degrees are not mandatory, but beneficial
