Summary

Join Encora as a Senior Python Engineer and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient applications. Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and continuously improve software development practices. This remote position is based in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Bolivia. You will work with Python and PostgreSQL, contributing to full-stack features using TypeScript/React as needed. The role requires extensive software development experience and deep expertise in backend development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• 7+ years of experience in backend development, with deep expertise in Python and PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with modern frontend tools, especially TypeScript and React, and willingness to contribute to fullstack features
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable systems, including debugging complex issues and optimizing performance
