Remote Senior Python Developer

Summary

Join NearForm as a Senior Python Developer for a 7-week contract position (with potential extension) based in Brazil. You will build server-side components of interactive applications for enterprise clients, utilizing Python/Django and Postgres. This role demands proficiency in English, experience in enterprise and agile environments, and a deep understanding of server-side development, testing methodologies, and version control. You will collaborate with high-performing teams and contribute to system design, development, and maintenance. Requirements

• Be proficient in English communication (oral and written) and possess excellent communication skills
• Have experience delivering at a Senior Developer level in an enterprise and agile environment
• Have a deep understanding of server-side code, with experience developing in Python
• Have experience utilizing Postgres and/or MongoDB
• Have experience with cloud technologies
• Have a deep understanding of modern testing methodologies, tools and practices
• Have a deep understanding of versioning control tools including Git
• Have an understanding of security and performance considerations
• Have an understanding of deployment tools and systems integration
• Possess empathy and strong collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design & build cloud-based applications using server-side technologies including Python/Django and Postgres
• Support system design, development and maintenance and take responsibility for personal technical quality standards within the project team
• Assist with defining structured practices, especially in source code management, building and deployment
• Design and implement data storage solutions
• Optimise performance in applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Get feedback from users and clients, and build solutions for them
• Assist with the analysis of client requirements
• Work with and support Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery
• Collaborate with internal and client teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with Node.js for Backend development
• Have experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Gemini
