Senior QA Automation Engineer

Summary

CapeZero is seeking a high-performing QA Automation Engineer to join their small team. As part of the Engineering team, the employee will build and improve CapeZero's digital platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and maintain test cases using Playwright. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on QA Automation using Typescript. and Playwright
• Highly skilled in finding, documenting/communicating bugs/issues and developing a hypothesis of why/when they occur
• Proficiency in Git, Docker, and Linux systems
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (specifically React)
• Experience testing APIs and Single Page Applications (SPA)
• Strong understanding of software testing and test-driven development

Responsibilities

• Defining test cases/plans associated with specifications based on business requirements
• Understand the nuances of project finance and translate modeling needs to a robust test plan covering edge cases
• Identifying enhancements and modifications that improve product quality
• Fixing small bugs, adding automated unit tests, and improving the usability/design of the APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and maintain test cases using Playwright
• Help maintain automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in code reviews, bug triage, and provide feedback on technical designs
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and learning for oneself and team members
• Running regression tests continually and being able to communicate with the team test coverage, the status of various lower environments, and their stability

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working on a B2B SaaS. product
• Experience with E2E QA/Testing using Cypress , Selenium, etc
• Some experience with Django or similar web frameworks
• Experience with modern DevOps practices, such as continuous integration, delivery, and deployment. Experience with Fly, Railway, Render, or other modern cloud platforms preferred
