Senior QA Automation Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior QA Automation Engineer and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient applications. Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and improve software development practices. This remote position is based in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Bolivia. The role requires extensive software development experience and expertise in automation testing tools like Cypress, TypeScript, WebdriverIO, and Appium.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• +5 years of experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Cypress, TypeScript, WebdriverIO, and Appium
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks, browser/device testing, and CI tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Excellent debugging, documentation, and communication skills in agile environments

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and TypeScript for frontend and API testing
• Develop cross-browser and mobile automation using WebdriverIO, Appium, and cloud platforms like LambdaTest
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure test coverage, CI/CD integration, and high-quality releases
