Senior QA Automation Engineer

Summary

Join Nord Security's Threat Protection department as a Python QA Engineer and contribute to enhancing our cybersecurity products. You will extend and improve our testing framework, define and implement test cases, support testing processes, and adapt to cross-team changes. This role requires a strong background in Python, testing frameworks, and problem-solving. Requirements

• Engineer's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience (more if there is no Engineer’s degree provided) working as a Python QA or a similar role
• Firm knowledge of Python, its most popular packages and testing frameworks
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a keen eye for detail
• Great communication, including written and spoken English
• Being able to work individually as well as in a team
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes

Responsibilities

• Extend existing test framework by improving it and adding new features
• Widen existing test framework support across the organization
• Determine the needs of our internal client(s), define and implement test cases based on acquired knowledge
• Support and propose alternatives to potentially failing test process(es)
• React to possible ad-hoc cross-team changes and adapt own work to them
• Transparently communicate with both the team and our internal client(s)

Preferred Qualifications

• Low-level programming knowledge
• Knowledge of the most honored testing practices
• ISTQB or similar certificate would be a plus
• Experience working with CI/CD-based processes
• Experience working with AWS infrastructure
• Cybersecurity domain knowledge
• Machine learning knowledge
