Summary

Join Oddball as a Senior QA Test Automation Engineer and play a key role in ensuring the quality of an intelligent, automated solution supporting users through conversational interfaces. Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to build, maintain, and execute manual and automated tests for a cloud-based platform. You will validate REST APIs and underlying data integrations, test Dialogflow-based voicebot flows, and identify and track bugs. Contribute to a scalable QA strategy aligned with agile methodologies. This role requires experience in QA testing, automated regression testing, API testing, and working with structured data. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in QA testing, including manual and automated methods
  • Strong understanding of Business-Driven Development (BDD) and/or Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Hands-on experience with automated regression testing
  • Familiarity with Python and ability to write or maintain automated test scripts
  • Strong experience with API testing, using tools like Postman, REST-assured, or similar
  • Proven ability to collaborate with developers and product teams to shape test plans early in the lifecycle
  • Experience working with structured data formats (JSON, XML, CSV)
  • Ability to select, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience testing dialog-based systems, ideally with Dialogflow
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to work domestically
  • Must be able to attain low-level security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases across all phases of development
  • Perform manual testing, including exploratory testing of new features
  • Design and implement a test automation framework, integrating it into the existing CI/CD pipeline
  • Validate REST APIs and underlying data integrations using structured data inputs (JSON, XML, CSV)
  • Test and validate Dialogflow-based voicebot flows to ensure expected conversational performance
  • Identify, document, and track bugs or performance issues; collaborate with devs to resolve them pre-deployment
  • Work with large datasets and ensure data-driven workflows meet quality standards
  • Contribute to a scalable QA strategy that aligns with agile development methodologies
