Summary

Join Centric Software's team as a Senior QA Engineer, Automation and contribute to the quality of our enterprise and SaaS software offerings. You will design, develop, and maintain a scalable Playwright UI automation framework, improving test automation coverage across various testing types. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to enhance automation and participate in code reviews. Mentor other team members and contribute to team knowledge sharing. This role requires 8+ years of experience in test automation, including 2+ years with Playwright, strong programming skills, and experience with CI/CD and agile methodologies. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in test automation including 2+ years of Playwright
  • Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript
  • CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience working in an agile software development team using Scrum methodologies and Jira Software
  • Experience with application servers especially Wildfly
  • In depth knowledge of MS Windows Server and Linux operating systems
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and inter-personal skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain a scalable Playwright UI automation framework
  • Improve test automation coverage across functional, regression, performance, and security testing
  • Optimize existing Playwright-based automation scripts for performance and maintainability and ensure test scripts are robust, reusable, and modular
  • Monitor and maintain test execution in CI/CD environments
  • Automate test result reporting
  • Analyze, fix and reduce flaky tests using proper wait strategies, retry mechanisms, and error handling. Maintain flakiness tracking dashboards and logs
  • Set up and manage test environments to ensure consistent execution
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to improve automation
  • Participate in code reviews and best practice discussions. Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for product and process related activities
  • Work with remote teams to manage projects and deliver results in a timely manner
  • Coach and mentor other team members and Quality Engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Experience with API performance testing (JMeter, PostMan)
