Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will design and execute test plans, collaborate with cross-functional teams, identify and report defects, and contribute to the success of software products. The role requires at least 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance, proficiency in testing tools, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• Proven experience of at least 5-7 years in quality assurance and software testing roles, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a managerial position
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Proficiency in test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (preferably Cypress, and JavaScript)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and performance
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand software requirements and technical specifications and participate in design reviews
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects and issues found during testing, and work with development teams to resolve them
• Perform manual and automated testing, utilizing testing frameworks and tools as needed
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test reports
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that software changes do not negatively impact existing functionality

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications in software quality assurance or testing (e.g., ISTQB)
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Familiarity with performance testing
