Requirements
- 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Proven track record as a Senior Quality Engineer or SDET with experience in both frontend (UI) and backend (API) automation testing
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes, including both exploratory/manual and test automation
- Strong problem-solving skills, including experience conducting root cause analysis (RCA) for customer-found defects
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to use standard software development lifecycle (SDLC) tools such as Jira and Confluence, and version control systems
- Expertise with Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript with solid experience using testing frameworks like Pytest, Cypress, and Playwright
- Ability to apply best practices and coding standards, with a solid understanding of programming languages, functional design, algorithms, and architecture patterns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical details and analyses across distributed teams
- Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and adapt to changes in priority as needed
- Experience with test suite/case/run management tools (e.g., JIRA Xray, etc.)
- A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development, demonstrated by continuous adaptation to emerging technologies and challenges
- Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD), the Cucumber framework, and the Gherkin language
- Prior experience with DevOps/SRE disciplines and practices is a significant plus
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test strategies, plans, scenarios, procedures, and corresponding test automation to deliver upon our full stack software quality responsibilities
- Perform hands-on testing for complex, high-priority areas to ensure flawless execution
- Work closely with developers during implementation to ensure appropriate levels of functional and non-functional testing. Prior experience with performance testing is a plus
- Identify and analyze issues with software functionality, document problems with using a defect tracking system, and report defects to software developers
- Troubleshoot test automation failures, stabilize brittle tests, and offer creative and innovative solutions to complex testing issues
- Collaborate closely with development and product management teams and participate in appropriate peer code reviews
- Closely monitor test execution results to provide timely and actionable feedback to our Application Development, Product, and Site Reliability Engineering colleagues
- Continuously improve testing processes to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability
- Track and report key quality metrics such as defect rates, test coverage, and release readiness to drive data-driven improvements
- Stay current with the latest software testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends, introducing best practices and innovations to elevate team performance
- Integrate into our CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives and contribute to our efforts to develop cross-functional SRE and QE hybrid engineering skills

- Base Salary: The annual base salary compensation range in the U.S. for this role is: $112,488 - $154,671
