Summary

Join Octave's Quality Assurance Team as a Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist and contribute to upholding high clinical quality care standards for our mental health providers. You will conduct clinical documentation audits, train auditors, support quality improvement projects, investigate provider-related incidents, and develop clinical resources. Collaboration with the Director of Clinical Network is key, along with providing coaching and mentorship to the QA staff. This role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a related field and experience in mental health services and quality monitoring. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine clinical documentation audits
  • Train and support a team of auditors to regularly review clinical documentation to ensure clinical care standards are met
  • Support cross-functional projects to develop reporting of provider quality metrics, monitor provider performance, and enhance efficiency in our current systems
  • Investigate and document provider-related incidences, provide direct provider feedback, and escalate issues to management as necessary
  • Develop and disseminate clinical resources to assist providers in meeting Octave’s care standards
  • Develop, plan, manage, and monitor ongoing quality assurance-related projects as informed by identified areas of need
  • Support Director of Clinical Network with additional project management activities as needed
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Quality Assurance staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field
  • 3+ years providing direct mental health services
  • 4+ years of experience in project management capacity, clinical quality monitoring and/or practice evaluation
  • Previous or current experience with direct client work
  • Previous experience with electronic health record systems
  • Strong clinical judgment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with great attention to detail
  • Experience with conducting quality chart review or audits for a healthcare organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience providing direct feedback to providers
  • Self-starter who is proactive and solution-oriented
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and strong Excel skills
  • Flexibility in the role and willingness to go beyond the defined job responsibilities
  • Ability to build relationships and work with cross functional teams
