Summary

As a Senior Quantitative Engineer, you will develop and implement financial models, cash flow simulations, and risk metrics calculations. You will translate complex logic into software code, design and execute testing, and assess model implementation quality. This role requires strong programming skills (C++ or Python), experience with large datasets, and expertise in cloud architecture (AWS). Requirements
- 2 years of experience
- Bachelor degree in applied mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Translate moderately complex mathematical, business, and financial modeling logic into software code, as well as design and execute modeling application systems via distributed computing both on premise and on external cloud to achieve efficiency, scalability, and modularity
- Design and execute test cases for modeling and analytical software applications to ensure they meet business needs and model requirements
- Apply experience and skill to assess model implementation quality and production control risk
- Evaluate system requirements for model and analytical applications, such as computing power, storage, network, and security. Recommend technology platforms and architecture designs for model applications to ensure robust and scalable execution
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices of model and analytical system implementation
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years or Master’s degree with 2 years or equivalent experience in applied mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering
- Proactive, creative problem solver with strong analytical skills. Must be able to define problems as well as potential solutions
- Strong programming experience in coding and debugging in C++ or Python
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environment
- Expertise in visualizing data to identify, summarize and explain observed data patterns
- Experience with econometric modeling, statistical analysis, and working with large data sets
- Experience with the implementation and creation of various models and algorithms including regression and statistical models. Experience working with financial data, analytics, and cashflows applications
- Expert in AWS cloud architecture, Web Services, APIs and DevOps
- Experience working in teams operating under an Agile Scrum delivery methodology
