Senior Reactjs Developer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior ReactJS Engineer and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and improve software development practices. This remote position, based in Costa Rica, requires extensive experience in software development with a focus on scalable applications and proficiency in ReactJS, Next.js, and related technologies. You will ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of front-end applications while collaborating with designers and backend engineers. The role involves implementing unit and integration testing and working within an Agile development team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/Advanced English skills
• 4+ years of experience designing and developing front-end applications and components
• 2+ years of software engineering experience in modern Open Source frameworks and libraries
• 2+ years experience with ReactJS specifically Next.js
• 1+ years experience using SSG & SSR with a CDN (Experience with HarperDB is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, JS frameworks (JQuery, Bootstrap)
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript
• Strong knowledge of CMS and CMS Integrations (Contentful)
• Experience with writing both component integration tests as well as end-to-end acceptance tests
• Experience with building applications with REST API services
• Experience with modern version control systems, principles, and tools (GitHub)
• Experience working within an Agile development team

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal and customer-facing platforms using Next.js and Contentful
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of front-end applications
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver a seamless user experience
• Optimize front-end applications for speed, accessibility, and SEO
• Implement unit and integration testing to ensure application reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Headless eCommerce is a plus (Elasticpath)
• Experience with GraphQL is a plus
