Summary

Orange Comet is seeking a Senior Roblox Game Programmer with at least five years of experience to join their team. The role involves developing and maintaining Roblox games, designing user interfaces, implementing secure programming practices, collaborating with the team, proposing improvements to tools and pipelines, troubleshooting and debugging issues within the game, and mentoring junior programmers. Requirements

• Minimum of five years of programming experience in Roblox with Lua(u)
• Extensive knowledge of Roblox services, API, and security practices
• Familiarity with professional workflow and tools such as Rojo
• Proven ability to create game systems and features from scratch
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work with a remote team distributed across the world

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Roblox games and systems using Lua(u)
• Design and develop user interfaces
• Implement secure programming practices
• Collaborate proactively with the team
• Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and quality in all developed features
• Propose and develop improvements to the tools and pipelines
• Troubleshoot and debug issues within the game
• Mentor junior programmers on the team

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Equivalent experience or certifications will also be considered
• Lua(u)
• Roblox Studio
• Git (or other version control systems)
• Basic understanding of tools like Jira or Trello
