Senior Ruby Developer

Summary

Join SimplePay, an online payroll software company, and become a key member of our team. We are seeking a highly experienced Ruby on Rails developer with at least five years of experience or a polyglot developer with strong Ruby skills. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining features, optimizing performance, squashing bugs, and improving security. The role involves direct integrations with other systems, expanding our API, and collaborating with colleagues. This is a fully remote position within the UTC+0 to UTC+6 time zones, offering a culture of constant feedback and improvement.

Requirements

Due to our full pipeline, we are ideally looking to hire developers who have at least five (5) years of software development experience in Ruby, or highly experienced polyglots who at least know some Ruby

Responsibilities

• Doing direct integrations with other systems (including governments and hopefully banks in the future)
• Expanding our API for other systems to integrate with us
• Technical design and implementation of new features
• Optimising for performance
• Squashing bugs
• Improving security
