• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
• Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq in a production environment
• Strong understanding of backend fundamentals - building APIs, managing background jobs, and debugging performance or reliability issues in a large, evolving Rails monolith
• You live and work permanently in the U.S

Responsibilities

• Help ensure that CompanyCam's engineers have everything they need to be happy and productive
• Enhance monitoring to help teams better track performance as we scale
• Update our eventing library
• Refine our Sidekiq queue management
• Speed up our local development environment
• Own a project from start to finish
• Pitch your own ideas to continually improve our platform and processes
• Actively contribute to the evolution of the culture and processes of a growing engineering team, especially our backend engineering discipline
• Effectively scale codebases and iterate on processes as part of a growing team
• Mentor other developers to help them grow

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, etc.)
• Experience with ElasticSearch
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience on a Platform or DevOps team
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with GraphQL
