Collaborate with the Salesforce Product Owner and other teams to validate requirements, develop solutions, and ensure stability and functionality. Requirements

• Salesforce product knowledge and at least 5 years of Salesforce development experience
• Proficient in Relational Databases (ideally MS SQL SERVER) & Apex
• Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio, Salesforce Lightning Design System and the Salesforce development lifecycle
• Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I
• Competency in other languages / development (Net Core, JS, RESTful web services)
• Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders / other Salesforce team members
• Experience developing customer-facing interfaces
• Good communication skills
• Able to work independently
• Ability to problem solve high-level software and application issues
• Ability to prioritize and quickly resolve issues
• Experience implementing and developing in Apex, Visualforce, and Java
• A proactive attitude toward Salesforce enhancements and bringing existing code into best practices
• Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications
• Experience working with large data sets and bulkification
• Ability to gather requirements and present solutions to stakeholders
• Experience running code in Cloud environments; preferably AWS with serverless technologies

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Salesforce Product Owner to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits)
• Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform in coordination with Viamericas Development Team and BI Team
• Test the stability and functionality of the application
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs
• Develop Apex (classes and triggers) & Lightning Components to extend Salesforce in order to support business requirements
• Assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and codes
• Strive towards coding best practices and data quality
• Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems used in the Company
• Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development
• Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional Salesforce certifications e.g. Certified Salesforce Administrator, Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder, Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I
• Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, professional qualification, or relevant experience
• Demonstrates continued personal/professional development
• Active in the Salesforce community
• English speaking and writing skills
