Summary
Join ServiceNow's security operations team and contribute to protecting our corporate and production environments. Monitor and manage security tools and systems, use critical thinking for proactive threat detection, and share ideas for process improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure configurations and compliance. Participate in on-call rotation to respond to incidents and assist with deploying new security technologies. This role requires experience leveraging AI in work processes and a strong problem-solving mindset. ServiceNow is committed to building a diverse team.
Requirements
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
- Three or more years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of practical knowledge, self-taught skills, formal education, or work experience
- JavaScript experience essential
- ServiceNow platform scripting essential
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Hands-on experience securing operating systems such as Linux, Windows, or macOS
- Knowledge of security logging and analysis tools (e.g., Splunk) and vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus)
- A problem-solving mindset focused on defence, resilience, and continuous improvement in security operations
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage security tools and systems that safeguard ServiceNowโs production and corporate environments
- Use critical thinking to identify patterns and connections between events to support proactive threat detection
- Share ideas to improve processes, systems, and security outcomes, aiming for smarter, faster, and more efficient ways of working
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems and tools are securely configured and comply with the latest security baselines
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond promptly to priority incidents and support effective incident resolution
- Assist with deploying and integrating new or enhanced security technologies that protect networks, endpoints, and systems
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications (e.g., GSEC, GCIH, CEH, GCIA, CISSP) are a plus but not required
