Senior Security Engineer

Summary

Join GoDaddy's team as a Senior Cloud Engineer and play a critical role in building infrastructure for security teams. You will collaborate with security architects and engineers, provide technical guidance, work with internal and external teams to resolve issues, and develop security coverage metrics. This remote position requires strong proficiency in AWS services and AWS CDK, along with 5+ years of experience in an AWS/Cloud environment. Requirements

• Strong proficiency in AWS services
• Strong proficiency of AWS CDK
• 5+ years’ experience in an AWS/Cloud environment
• Experience designing, supporting, and delivering large-scale distributed solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and uncover complex problems

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with security architects and engineers to evaluate, test, and implement new security technologies and solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and promote best practices in data architecture design and implementation
• Work with external and internal teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues
• Develop and report on Cloud security coverage metrics and remediation plans
• Build and deploy operational tools with scalability in mind

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools like Gitlab or Jenkins
• Experience with ECS/EKS or other container orchestration platforms
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience in providing technical hands-on training workshops
• Maintaining and using Cloud security tools such as but not limited to: CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP
• Working proficiency with at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
• Recognized AWS Certifications
